Martwick sworn in during 104th General Assembly inauguration

SPRINGFIELD — State Senator Robert Martwick (D-Chicago) was sworn in for a new term Wednesday as the Illinois Senate officially began the 104th General Assembly. He released the following statement:

“Serving in the General Assembly has been the single greatest privilege of my professional career. I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue the work I have done providing a voice for those who would not otherwise have one. I vow to continue to ensure that government creates opportunities to the hard working and middle class families of Illinois. As always, there is much to be done, but working collaboratively with my colleagues, we will put Illinois on a path towards prosperity for all.”
