In conjunction with Rep. Lindsey LaPointe’s office, we’ve compiled a list of scholarships available for students in our districts in Spring 2021:
Norwood Park Dollars for Scholars
- Must be a Norwood Park resident to enter
- $1,250 will be rewarded to an incoming high school freshman and $1,250 to an incoming college senior
- Applications will be open from March 1- March 31, and winners will announced in May
Gladstone Park Neighborhood Association Scholarship
- $500 will be rewarded to an applicant 19 years of age or younger who is a high school graduate or a senior in high
school during the 2020-2021 school year - Must live in Gladstone Park (boundary map available in application packet)
- Applications are due by April 15, and the winner will be announced April 21
Illinois CPA Society 2021-22 academic scholarships
- Applicants must be accounting students enrolled at Illinois colleges who demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, and leadership qualities.
- 40 different scholarships, up to $4000 each, available through one application
- Applications open now until April 1
Polish-American Congress Charitable Foundation- Richard Gorecki Scholarship
- Must be a citizen of the United States of America and of Polish ancestry
- Applicant must be a full time student enrolled as a sophomore, junior, senior or post-graduate in the fall of 2021
- Must become a member of their local PAC Division, or if none in their area, then a member through the National PAC
- The amount of scholarships will be as determined by the Scholarship Committee, based on available funds
- Application is open until April 15
Miller Perez Family Scholarship Fund
- Admitted or enrolled in an undergraduate degree-seeking program or certificate program at an accredited college or university
- Not previously awarded a scholarship from Latinos Progresando
- Experience financial need
- Must be of Latino/immigrant descent, demonstrate commitment to community service, and reside in Cook County
- $2,000 for the 2021-2022 academic school year
- Application due April 16
Illinois Fire Chiefs Association 2021 Scholarship
- Applicant must be an active member of a recognized Fire Department/District in Illinois
- Unless otherwise noted, all scholarships are awarded for Fire Service-related programs, i.e., Fire Science, Fire Service Management, Public Administration, Fire Officer Certification, State Fire Training, etc.
- Scholarships range from $300-$2000
- Application due March 15
Illinois Conservation Achievement Scholarship
- Given to outstanding high school seniors in Illinois who have demonstrated effective, voluntary and long-term dedication to the preservation, protection, enhancement and/or promotion of Illinois’ natural resources
- Up to four one-time scholarships of $2,000
- Application due March 1
