Halloween Events in the 10th Senate District

The next few weeks on the Northwest Side are packed with Halloween happenings.  Check out this list of 10th Senate District events to learn what’s going on. Email alex@senatormartwick.com if you’d like your event to be added to this non-comprehensive list! 

Divine Savior Parking Lot | Friday, October 22nd | 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm

Come to the Spooktacular Halloween Party for face painting, villain characters, face painting, and more! Register ahead of time by calling 708-457-1244. This event has a $10 fee for Norridge residents and a $12 fee for non-Norridge residents. 

Oasis Fun Center | Saturday, October 23rd | 10:00 am- 12:00 pm

Families will walk along the parking lot of decorated Park District, Village and local business vehicles and be given a treat. Event will be moved indoors in case of inclement weather.  Register by October 22.  Refunds will not be granted on special events.  Masks will be required.  Return registration form in person to Howard Leisure Center, or via email to Robin Brey, robin@niles-parks.org.

Throughout Norwood Park | Saturday, October 23rd | 11:00 am- 1:00 pm

Stop at each participating business in Norwood Park and fill your baskets with sweet treats.

Irish American Heritage Center | Sunday, October 24th | 9:30 am- 1:30 pm

Come shop the FINAL outdoor Jeff Park Sunday Market of the season for fall goodies and trick or treating. Participating vendors will have treats for costumed (and masked) kids. 

Trick or Treat rules:
Trick or Treaters must wear a mask, only visit vendors with orange treat bags, and avoid disrupting sales.

6325 N Avondale | Sunday, October 24th | 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm

Check out Fly Girl Dance & Fitness’s new space at their free Halloween party! Costumes are encouraged. 

Dunning Library | Wednesday, October 27th | 6:00 pm- 7:30 pm

Dunning Library’s annual Halloween bash is back! Registration is required, and can be completed at the help desk or by calling 312-743-0480. Plus, check out their full October event calendar for family-friendly fall events like grab-and-go scarecrows.

Ages 11+: 4448 N Milwaukee Ave | Thursday, October 28th | 6:30 pm-8:00 pm

Sign up for the third annual Build Your Own Ghost Stories with your kids and teens! Inspired by the spooky fun of gathering around a campfire and sharing eerie tales with friends, Build-Your-Own-Ghost-Story invites students to create their own chilling tales and bring them to  life through performance. This is a free pop-up class. 

Edison Park East Metra Lot | Thursday, October 28th | 4:30 pm- 6:30 pm

Edison Park neighbors- check out this free trunk or treat with bounce houses, face painting, and more.

Wintrust Bank- Gladstone Park | Friday, October 29th | 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm

Dress up to enjoy candy, Taffy Apples, pumpkins, a face painter, and more at this Gladstone Park Chamber-Wintrust Bank event. 

Onahan Elementary Trunk or Treat

Eisenhower Public Library Parking Lot | Friday, October 29th | 6:00 pm- 8:30 pm

Come watch Mel Brooks’ classic horror parody, Young Frankenstein.

 
Please register to reserve a parking spot for your vehicle, not for the number of passengers.

Bridge Elementary Parking Lot | Friday, October 29th | 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm

Raise money for a local school at Bridge’s upcoming trunk or treat. 

Elmwood Park High School | Friday, October 29th | 7:30 pm- 9:30 pm

Elmwood Park CRC | Saturday, October 30th | 10:00 am- 12:00 pm

Join the Village of Elmwood Park at their two upcoming Halloween events, the Monster Dash and Trick or Treat at the CRC!

Throughout Schiller Park | Saturday, October 30th | 10:00 am- 1:00 pm

Mayor Caiafa and Members of the Village Board and Library Board will proceed the parade along Village Streets. Bags of candy will be tossed to children along the way with music and costumes being a part of the fun. 

Shabbona Park | Saturday, October 30th | 12:00 pm- 2:00 pm

Come admire Shabbona’s brand-new field house roof and collect candy with your little ones at their annual trunk or treat event. 

River Front Park | Saturday, October 30th | 12:00 pm- 2:00 pm

Come to River Grove’s River Front Park for a free community trunk or treat.

Oriole Park Branch Library | Saturday, October 30th | 1:00 pm- 2:00 pm

Harlem Ave from Diversey to Irving Park | Saturday, October 30th | 12:00 pm- 4:00 pm

Trick or treat throughout the Library and learn about the spooktacular benefits of having a library card. Enjoy spooky and fun activities for all ages. Costumes encouraged. Treats while supplies last.
