This morning, we awarded our Small Business Recognition Award to Smakosz Restaurant at 5619 W Lawrence Ave. Renee Kaminska and her family have owned and operated the restaurant on Lawrence for 23 years, bringing some of the best Polish flavors of Chicago to the Northwest Side.
Renee has lovingly decorated the interior for Christmas to spread some holiday cheer to those who pick up orders. The holidays are usually the best time of year for the restaurant, but the pandemic has dramatically slowed down business. If you’d like to help support this Polish-American staple, Smakosz is open every day except for Tuesdays for takeout and delivery from 12-7.
