Join Senator Martwick’s Inaugural Legislative Fellowship and take an active role in shaping your community and engaging with government. As a member, you will be given the opportunity to:
- Attend an overnight trip to Springfield, IL to meet and lobby state legislators on matters of personal interest (free of charge)
- Meet with City, State, and Federal Legislators and Staff
- Attend City and State Legislative Sessions
- Share your perspective with Senator Martwick and actively influence his office agenda
- Generate, plan, and execute a youth outreach event
The Inaugural Legislative Fellowship will meet twice monthly. In the first of each monthly meeting, members will present, discuss, and vote on fellowship agenda items. In the second, members will spend time observing and participating in governmental engagement opportunities.
Fellowship runs from February 1st – May 31st 2025
Fellowship Member Requirements
- 11-12th Grade
- Attend a public, private, or home school in the 10th district, or live in the 10th district
- Brief letter of recommendation from teacher of choice
- Parental Consent
